There are several choices of training available.

VIRTUAL, LIVE PHONE CONSULTATIONS are the way to go during this difficult time of the pandemic when people are at home with the dog all day long and may find that the dog needs more training than we had realized!  But you can’t do private training or go to a group class.  We can do a virtual live consultation.  This is working extremely well for people.  I am able to demonstrate with my dog so you can see exactly what you need to do with your dog and then I can watch you work with your dog.  All in the safety of your own home.  And no face masks involved!

PRIVATE IN-HOME TRAINING provides you with as much individual assistance as you need and can be scheduled around your busy schedule.  Many  issues need to be  addressed in the home;  jumping on visitors and trying to run out the door need to be addressed in the home  environment.  Some dogs are  reactive or shy and need to start their training in the security of the home.  Sharon will design a training program that will specifically meet the needs of you and your dog.   This program is for dogs of all ages.  Problems that are addressed include getting your dog to listen to you, not jump on people or counters, coming when called and not running out the door.  Other issues include helping dogs that are fearful, pulling on the leash or being destructive in the house.  There are many other issues that we may need to address with training.  And you learn how to positively address the issues you are having.

Each lesson provides the foundation for the next lesson.   It is necessary that you practice the assignments given you because it is repetition and consistency that will help you reach your goals.  This program is for dogs of all ages.

PUPPYHOOD 101 is a great way to start young puppies out on the right path immediately.  The new puppy parent can learn how to effectively and humanely train the puppy and avoid many common mistakes that people make.  Sharon will explain all the steps necessary to house-train the puppy, how  to handle puppy biting, how to provide mental stimulation, how to prevent problems from occurring, and basic leash training.   Puppies can begin as early as seven weeks.

GROUP CLASSES are also available.   While private training is more comprehensive, there are instances where a group class will best  meet the client’s needs. Group classes are also a fun way to do an activity with your dog and strengthen your relationship.   There are a variety of classes offered ranging from Good Manners 101, a class offering basic skills, to advanced classes.  These advanced classes include the AKC Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine, AKC Trick Dog Titles,  Variety Sports Pak, Shaping and various other fun behavior classes designed to provide your dog with advanced skills and mental stimulation.  Three classes run at a time and not all classes are offered during a session.
